HJ: You make an excellent distinction between earning the money and something closer to taking it by abusing power and access through whatever means necessary -- this is another legacy or indicator of the thinking during the bubble. I am not a huge fan of Gates, but he built that company and the money is his to do with as he likes. I am not sure I go along with Drucker about two new types of audit -- I suppose anything is possible, but there are so many types of audit and they are growing all the time, it might become a real bureaucratic mess in its own right. I think some of the fault lies with stupid investors -- never give a sucker an even break. If idiots will pay these guys that price just to provide a pretext for then overpaying for the stock -- well then perhaps they deserve the eventual ruin they will get for their stupidity.
