I will agree war is hell but each of your other statements are false.Open a history book,you will learn that the crusades invaded to retake the holy land not to forestall a muslim invasion of europe.Europe learned maths ,astronomy and medicine from the arabs who were far more civilized than christian countries at the time and as to being poor because of their religion and culture, please tell me again that there are no poor countries that are not muslim.
