Most reports I've seen said that the Karine A weapons only cost the PA $10 -$15 million, Iran having supplied them at a heavily subsidized price.

But the question is, why another letter denying knowledge? He has already sent several, and the Bush administration was incredulous and insulted, having incontrovertible evidence of Arafat's involvement from the CIA and the Mossad in its hands.

So the Bush administration tells Arafat to 'fess up (you'll see the demand if you read the article carefully), and this is his answer? What is he playing at? Maybe he's deliberately trying to provoke Bush into giving Sharon a green light, hoping it will backfire?
