"elect honest people"... Yeah, that's something we should all hold our breath for. I prefer structural reform, or structural remedies (such as our Constitution's reliance on balance of powers) to insure against corruption and double-dealing in public office impacting the Republic. A little more assured a solution than that mythic quest of "waiting for that one honest man".
