I noticed that the piece about the American Indians said that one rarely saw physically afflicted people. That connoted infanticide to me. I assume they had the same number of genetic misfortunes, such as Down's Syndrome, as have been had by all other peoples, but made choices about who would eat and who wouldn't during the long hard winters.
