People's massive turnout in Monday's rally will be powerful reply to enemies: Leader

Tehran, Feb 10, IRNA -- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah
Seyed Ali Khamenei here on Sunday said that the Iranian people, along
with the country's officials, will massively turn out in Monday's
rallies and will give a decisive and powerful response to the enemies.

Millions of enthusiastic Iranians are to take part in Bahman 22
(Feb 11) rallies on Monday to mark the 24th anniversary of the
victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Referring to the arrogant and threatening remarks made recently
by certain U.S. officials, including President George W. Bush, the
Supreme Leader said that the remarks are an indication of their
frustration in getting their sinister political, security and
advertising activities achieved in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

One of the objectives of those remarks of U.S. officials is to sow
discord among the Iranian people and officials and to weaken the
their existing unity and solidarity, the Leader said, stressing on the
importance of participating in Monday's rallies.

"The rallies will be a proof of the unity and solidarity of
the Iranian people and will play a determining and extraordinary role
in the country's onward march," Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated.

The 1979 Islamic Revolution put an end to decades of humiliation
of the Iranian people under arrogant rulers and foreign powers with
hegemonic ambitions, the Leader further stressed.

The Leader ended by reminding Iranian officials to fulfill their
commitment towards the nation and not to let the people down.
