Hi Bob, Oil business involved monopoly practices early on and in the international arena became involved in the bribery etc. needed to get business done pariticularly in mideast. Add that to the internet bubble and the financial trading mania that came with it plus the accounting confusion generated by mixing of consulting with accounting by andersen and voila.....My hope is that this evil mix didnt happen too often outside of enron. I am hoping enron turns out to be the exception in which case it will be a mere footnote. By the way, do you own hal. If so i would be interested in your view of the company as an investment. mike Did you buy more jdsu in the low sixes as we discussed. I chickened out.
