I held that impression of Nokia as well, but when Eric L. challenged me, I discovered it was far from accurate. Their latest WSRN tear sheet shows an enviable debt/equity ratio of 0.02%.

Seems to me they're making the most out of a low margin business model. Maybe Dr. J should hire some of Nokia's bean counters, as Qualcomm, with its incredible margins, doesn't seem to know how to present itself favorably to the street. Q's like a beautiful woman with no sense of fashion.
