Photon Dynamics (PHTN) 42.15 +1.05: -- Before Open -- CIBC Wrld Mkts initiates coverage with a Strong Buy rating and price target of $72. Firm says PHTN is a play on flat panel display (FPD) end markets, and notes that PHTN has dominant share of the FDP process diagnostic, test and repair equipment segment, as well as several new products targeting high growth automotive and FPD glass inspection applications. Following a return to sequential growth, better than parity book-to-bill in Q1, and increasing planning activity and request for quotes, firm recommends aggressive accumulation on weakness.
