I don't follow ACLS. Your description "safer large caps" is only half correct. These "safer large caps" have run rings around the rest of the semi-equips and seem poised to continue. I find it hard to look elsewhere when the safe ones are the best performers. As a sidenote, the Wennerstrom thread provides estimates for long term growth. I don't know how these were arrived at (by the First Call analysts) and I don't have a strong belief in their accuracy, but the rate for ASML is projected at 35%, while the rate for CYMI is 23%. AMAT, KLAC, and NVLS tie for second place behind ASML at 25%.
