ISE January options volume up 355 percent on year
CHICAGO, Feb 8 (Reuters) - The International Securities Exchange said this week its equity options volume last month totaled 11,296,563 contracts, up 355 percent from 2,482,797 contracts traded in January 2001.

The all-electronic ISE opened in May 2000 and now lists 469 issues.

At month's end, open interest stood at 48,993,809 calls and 30,582,549 puts.

During January, ISE's average daily volume stood at 537,932 contracts, up 41 percent from October's average volume of 380,299 contracts and up 86 percent from July's average of 289,376 contracts.
