"Diamond Head could erupt" Perhaps your 'ability' to understand likely versus unlikely future events explains your inclination to buy stories that only a fool would fall for. Venture capitalists don't want to lose all the money in their funds -- but they are rarely stupid enough not to recognize the possibility. You say you are into 'public venture capital' but you don't seem to have any idea what that means in terms of likely versus unlikely outcomes.
