MOSCOW, RUSSIA, 1997 JUL 3 (NB) -- By InfoArt. Dell Computer Corp.
[NASDAQ:DELL] has teamed with Microsoft Corp. [NASDAQ:MSFT] to allow
customers buying its PowerEdge servers in Russia to have Windows NT
4.0 Server pre-loaded on their machines.

The move coincides with the arrival of Microsoft's ProfitPack software
into the Russian market. ProfitPack involves the value-added shipment
of several applications on to the Dell system, offering users an
instant system that works out of the box, Newsbytes notes.

The ProfitPack package is being offered as a value-added option on the
PowerEdge 2200 server, which is based on the Pentium II processor.

According to Dell and Microsoft, the ProfitPack software aims to
satisfy customers' requirements in the business side of the market and
also aims to offer a lower-cost complete system that would otherwise
be available to customers.

The icing on the cake as far as Dell is concerned is that its
technical center in Russia has applied for Microsoft Solution Provider
status, allowing a one-stop service to be offered to customers.
