Actually, enigma, ...the French have historically been a thorn in our side but someone else here brought up that they are in flux now and turning more conservative, less socialist.

I believe you will find more French citizens are no longer blindly following people like Patton (he doesn't deserve the name). That's true of Germany and several other European countries. Europe is in flux, give them time to get their act together. They'll get there.

...and don't let these socialists get under your skin. Their time is limited in power.
