On the first of April, Japan will phase out bank insurance on amounts over about $75,000. Of course we all know what savers the Japanese are. Some high net worth big savers have been buying gold as a hedge in case of a yen meltdown. It's supply and demand. (What do they care anyway? What kind of interest are they getting on their deposits? ROFLMAO!)

It's not about the US devaluing our dollar.

What a mess the Japanese have got themselves into. Hope they don't drag the rest of us down with them, but I think we'll pull out of it, just like we always do, just more slowly this time.
