Actrade Financial Technologies, Ltd. Calls Sell-Off in Response to Article Unwarranted

NEW YORK, Feb 11, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Actrade Financial
Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: ACRT) knows of no business reason for the substantial
drop in the price of its shares today. Apparently, the shares dropped in
response to an article published in Barrons over the weekend. That article
repeated previously disclosed events that occurred several years ago, which are
presently the subject of ongoing litigation. The bulk of the article reported
claims made in pleading and in depositions by parties in that litigation, which
have not been proven in court and represent no more than statements by adverse
parties.

On January 23, 2002, Actrade posted earnings (diluted) of $0.80 per share, on
record revenues and E-TAD originations, and forecasted that earnings per share
for fiscal 2002 will be in the range of $3.00 to $3.10 per share. The company
reaffirmed that guidance.
