K-t...in the news: Kinross Gold raises $31.05-million Tue 12 Feb 2002 Mr. Robert Buchan reports KINROSS GOLD CORPORATION Kinross Gold has completed the sale of 20 million common shares to a syndicate of underwriters comprising CIBC World Markets Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., Scotia Capital Inc. and Canaccord Capital Corporation. The exercise by the underwriters of the option to purchase an additional three million common shares resulted in the total sale of 23 million common shares for gross proceeds of $31.05-million. The net proceeds of this offering will be used for the proposed acquisition of $3.75 Series B convertible preferred shares of Kinam Gold Inc. by way of tender offer, if such offer is made, and to the extent the net proceeds are not required for such purpose, for general corporate purposes.
