Greetings! I've been away (literally) for a while and just got back to US a few weeks ago. I thought to drop by and give my regards. I see that not much seems to have changed here, though I certainly did not read through thousands of posts I missed.

Looking at my notes before I left, I see that I had picked late March as the earliest time I'd consider going long the tech. I have not seen much that would make me change my mind yet, though I am certainly open to contrary opinions.

Again, looking back at my notes, I see that I'd picked NT as my guiding light of when the tech rally may have sustainable rally. Seeing how they just announced a 10% drop in next Q revenue, I conclude the March date on track.

I am looking for two pieces of information to help me better gauge the market. I am looking for communication equipment spending by telcos (or spending as percentage of revenue) and the equipment spending by chip makers. IMO these are two important pieces of info.

BTW, it seems that I got back just in time for some great buying opportunities. I bought 10k shares of TYC between 22 and 28 last week (I regret not to have been brave enough to buy a lot more when it went as low as 21 in AH). I think it is still a great buy. I also bought a few thousand WCOM around 6 but got out of it yesterday; it is not acting decisively.

best wishes for everyone in the new year
