This is important to the GOP retaining and enlarging its Hose majority. naplesnews.com Collier county is key for the GOP picking up three House seats in FL and getting rid of the odious Peter Deutsch, D-Worst Coast, and best known for helping Gore try to steal FL. You see, Goss was set to retire and local pols wanted to keep the Collier-Lee district solid GOP - helping themselves and putting themselves over the nation. Their plans - and the Dems' - would keep the GOP from expanding its majority. Now that Goss has been pressed back into service, the state GOP can use the huge GOP margins in Collier to help gain three more seats - and eliminate Deutsch.
