Well, it was certainly the first time that so many trillions of dollars was conjured out of thin air -- which is what it turned out to be in the end -- just hot air. In percentage terms it is probably not more than 'average'. Of course if you take into account the number of companies that went from zany to zero -- well, you rarely lose more than 100% of your money -- although it is of course possible as so many people have learned the hard way. Bill thinks there will be a new and much bigger 'up leg' (bubble) -- or at least that is what he says. I don't know which seems dumber -- not knowing it was a bubble at the time -- not admitting it was a bubble after the fact -- or thinking that another even bigger bubble is just around the corner.
