The directors of CVC still have not decided when the annual meeting is to be held. As of today, late August is the best bet.

On the exploration front, Les Ward was very ill for several weeks, so only recently did he begin negotiating for the Whitt Waters Rand gold property which is east of Johannesburg. Unfortunately, unless CVC becomes a clean shell (ie. take care of debts) this month, the property will probably go to another group he is representing.

A enocuraging development is that management from Energold (EGD on VSE) had a meeting with Michael Raftery this week and expressed an interest in a private placement and/or junior venture with any property that might be promising.

Apparently, the Australians are starting to come to the conclusion that they can't run a Canadian company from thousands of miles away, so they are considering bringing in two new Canucks.
