wow, that is fantastic work. Thanks for the analysis. I too am surprised by the trend, I would have thought that Northwood would be having a much more detrimental effect on AMD's ASP by now. Quite surprising to see somewhat the reverse happening. Also frustrating as a potential customer, myself and some of my friends keep waiting for low-end xp's to get really cheap but instead all that happens is the minimum price stays the same (about 200 cdn) and the price spread between the lower speed grades just gets narrower and narrower (1500,1600,1700 are now almost all the same price).
