To Anybody,

I am a little concern over the timing of the Intel 'price-cut' announcement. Why such a dramatic change in strategy? At this time, too. Have we got AMD, Cyrix, and others licked? Or, could it be that Intel mgmt is worried that margins are shrinking fast. Are the earnings next week lousy and let's strike now with an early 'disguised' announcement?

On another note, if Intel does keep prices same 'til Feb 97, this will (should) hurt PC shops, like Compaq, Dec, and Gateway. Which will, in turn hurt Intel. I don't get it. Something stinks.
