Re caution, let me tell you the story of only the second stock trade I ever made in my life, three years ago. The librarian emailed me that the stock of a company I once worked for was in a nosedive. It dropped 60% on a bad earnings report. Clever me, I thought: "What a deal! That's where my options were a few years back." So I called my (non-electronic) broker after the close, and told him to buy me a thousand shares at the open. Cost me $167! Two days later I had made 30%, and checked out. A genius, right? I have spent the last three years giving all that back. That's why I'm cautious.
