It is simply a matter of rating and what the media thinks people would care about! And that is the sad part of an open society.

I think the flip side of this coin is that because it *is* an open society, most people are aware that the media care about ratings, at all costs, and will take that into consideration when reading these stories. I personally feel that most *journalists* are no better than vultures circling in the sky waiting for a good bite!

I have been under the impression, for more than 20 years, that the Shah wasn't so bad, but he was run out of the country. I think as time goes by, most people can see the reality of the stories that the media puts out? Once the dust settles from all the hype.
