NewKidCo Announces Dr. Seuss Video Games Publishing Agreement

Beloved Characters And Stories Scheduled To Debut on Next-Generation Systems In 2002

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 12, 2002--NewKidCo International Inc. (OTC BB; NKCIF; TSE; NKC) announced today a worldwide multi-year agreement with Dr. Seuss Enterprises L.P. to publish interactive entertainment software based on the timeless characters and stories of Dr. Seuss, the best-selling author of children's books in the world.

The agreement grants NewKidCo the rights to create interactive adventures for next-generation gaming systems, allowing players to become part of the whimsy and magic of Dr. Seuss' world. Dr. Seuss classics include Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat And The Hat, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and How The Grinch Stole Christmas!

The first title, scheduled for release in fall of 2002, will be developed for Game Boy® Advance. Subsequent games will be available across all leading platforms, including titles releasing in 2003 and for the duration of the agreement (August 2005). The games, targeted for children ages six and up, will be distributed to all major retail accounts throughout North America. Distribution into Europe, New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Rim is planned as well.
