It won't be the best black bean soup you have ever tasted, by far, but the "Fantastic" brand of dried soups can be bought as low as 99 cents, and among its dozen or so varieties is a black bean, and for something that you can fix in a small microwave in an office in seven minutes, it's OK. There are also chili-flavored and curried types, so you can go for two weeks of 5-day work days without repeating. Nonfat, 250 calories, and up to 50% of recommended daily fiber, as well as vegetable protein.
