<LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Investors in Qualcomm Inc., a wireless technology firm whose finances fell under scrutiny after energy trader Enron Corp. collapsed, reelected Enron director Frank Savage to its board on Tuesday, over the objections of dissident investors.

A Qualcomm spokeswoman said Savage, chairman of New York-based Alliance Capital Management and an Enron director since 1999, was reelected to Qualcomm's board at a shareholder meeting in San Diego. He has been a Qualcomm director since 1996 and was backed by company founder and Chief Executive Irwin Jacobs....

Omigosh, like, this is, you know, like so scary. Enron not only right there in the same sentence, but right there in the same boardroom! Not six degrees of separation here. Leap's connected like a baby through it's umbilical cord to its mother.

No dividends [as you rightly pointed out] and Enron connections discovered lurking in the corridors of power. I should mention accounting here again. Perhaps Gary Condit too, even though I still don't know where he is. Imagine if O J Simpson is involved somehow. This is NOT going to be good for Leap Wireless. What if the CFRA discovers this.

Actually, joking aside, it'll be interesting to see how MAD everyone actually is [in response to this latest revelation]. MAD as in the Mutual Assured Destruction sense.

Speaking of corridors of power, also on the board is Brent Scowcroft who was, [if this gets out it could mean BIG trouble so don't mention it to anyone - we'll just have to hope that Dr Schit isn't an SI member paddling in this stream], closely associated with the first President Bush and not only that, also instrumental in Condoleezza Rice being brought into the circles of power and she is now the right hand man [in a manner of speaking - not that 'manner' should be considered a sexist term] to the second President Bush.

I hesitate to mention the Carlyle Group here because ... well, I'd better not mention it. Suffice to say that Osama is not totally divorced from this whole business and direct members of the Bin Laden family are not unknown in USA oil and other circles. If the Carlyle Group links are known, the 20.02 20.02.2002 triple palindrome implications could be enormous.

Meanwhile, the Dow-Nasdaq-Hang Seng Axis-of-Money is nearing the triple-witching 10,000 figure [the Nikkei and Dow are right on the mark and with only a week to go, the Hang Seng is not far away].

I'm not superstitious or conspiracy-minded, but I think I'll dig a bunker in the backyard, just in case it's not a good cusp we come to on the triple palindrome date.

Maybe I should hold off for $2 a share for Leap given the dramatic news announced. What will happen tomorrow? This is better than a soap story on tv; it's reality tv but real-time live with us as actors.

Omigosh, like, you know, I'm "Wow!!",
Mqurice

PS: Speaking of corridors of power, how's Governor Gray getting on with California power supplies? I wonder if there are any Enron connections there. Does Enron deliver power to Leap and QUALCOMM via Governor Gray?
