She Stole His Heart

he was a fop but born ages too late
she was the type of vixen so many love to hate
he wanted love but his love was so simple
she seduced him with satins, high heels, and sheers

he was alone perhaps it was to be so
that he would remain in a world so alone
she was the light and he was the moth
he could not resist regardless of the cost

in this world there is no winning
everything is here for the losing
but we choose our poison and his was she
the painted, preening vixen of all of his dreams

she stole his heart and that was how he died
but not until years had passed of desolate crying
she stole his heart it was so natural
and now he wanders through this world all alone

how ever could a plain jane in blue jeans compare
to long painted nails and dark wavy hair
clodhoppers and cotton are always looked past
for heels so high and satins and sheers

the actual song is available at mp3.com under 'Ella Robo Su Corazon'

there is soon to be a 'disco' version available at the site...
