Nortel Puts on a Brave Face It is interesting to note that the ratio of voice vs data traffic, or circuit vs packet service, is on the verge of dramatically changing. It therefore appears to me that this will put additional pressure on legacy equipment sales which are optimized for voice service. Lost data packets are easily recovered whereas a break in a voice transmission is intolerable. lightreading.com Jack Hutchison
