I heard McAuliffe state on Fox that he bought $100k worth of stock on the public market "just like millions of other Global Crossing investors" and, because he was a savvy investor, turned it into $18 million. When Hannity looked disbelievingly at him, he smugly asked, "Surely you have nothing against good old capitalism, Sean?"
