Another poster who wishes to remain anonymous sent me a copy of John Kaiser's recent diatribe on TWG & HD. He asked me to copy my reply on the thread so here it is.

Well, he has obviously been reading SI! After an awful lot of "rumour mongering" and "negative suggestion" he pretty much said everything that Will and I have been saying for the past six weeks.
Neither Will or I think much of TWG's reporting either and we've said so in no uncertain terms to management, but at the end of the day, there is more relevant information available on TWG's JI play than there is on any other diamond jr speculation that I have EVER followed and for all JK's bitching, it is really about all the info that has been released not about the lack of it!
He suggests speculating in 3 or more other jr's with ground in the area with absolutely NOTHING to suggest that they have any kimberlites on their land, but he spends 10 pages of innuendo and bashing on a play with actual pipes and diamonds. Where pipes stand out like polka dots, he criticizes TWG for not grabbing more land when they grabbed enough to contain some 40 anomalies.
JK thinks like a promoter, not a mine developer...
I have seen him publicly bash other newsletter writers openly at forums and with whom he obviously has a problem and this looks like another example of his ego and vindictiveness to me.
He hedges his bets and says TWG might have something, (a year to two years after others have done so) then goes on and on with doubts about what TWG has making suggestions about Bre-x and in the same breath pitches an area play because of all the ground DeBeers, Kennecott and others picked up around TWG and on the Mellville Peninsula.
He lambasts the credibility and ability of the man who got the claims and actually has a degree in the subject and the experience to put ore bodies into production. What has JK accommplished? What ore bodies has he promoted and developed?
No question, HD could do a better job of clarification, but I don't think JK is the one with the credibility to stand up and point a finger. How many BS plays has he pushed over the years including ACA in Alberta? Did he go to any of this trouble to question the BS results every one of those plays he pushed with nothing but moose pasture that had no possibility of finding economic ore?
About the only thing new he said in any of this obviously vindictive and personal attack on HD was the suggestion that TWG could go it alone putting JI into production which is a postulation that I find INCREDIBLE and without ANY rational argument, proof or reasonable probability.
Is RD the wrong person to be running TWG promotion & IR?Very probably not! Could TWG's NR's be more consistent, thorough and clearer? No question.
But I would rather have some information than none and I would rather have real indications of potential than BS and TWG at least offers that. What other diamond jr do you know of that does?
By the by, diamonds have relatively unique chemical signatures which tend to fingerprint which pipes they came from. If as JK suggests, sample bags could be salted with diamonds from another source, and there was any suggestion of that possibility, don't you think Lakefield would pick up on that? His suggestions are beneath contempt!
And by the way, because JI diamonds have a slightly rounded appearance DOES NOT NECESSARILY IMPLY THAT THEY ARE SLIGHTLY REABSORBED. If there was significant evidence of reabsorbtion, Lakefield would report that and would be reporting a much higher amount of bort than has been reported. Regardless, when diamonds are cut, they are put on a bruting machine and the corners are rounded (classic cut only). The waste in cutting diamonds is often over 50%! What difference does his suggestion make? Diamond Trading N.V. said they were good cutable stones and I would consider thier opinion "expert" not JK's!
JK's lack of knowledge is palpable.
Diamonds only grow into perfectly opposed pyramidal crystals in perfect circumstances which is rare. Diamonds come in all sorts of shapes which has little to do with their reabsorbtions but rather it reflects the conditions under which they formed. Hence mackles, intergrowths, dodecohedrons, etc. Did you ever see the rough DeBeers cut into the "Centenary" or the rough that was cut into the stone in the British Royal Scepter and Queens Crown? They were perfect blue white D flawless diamonds that weren't remotely shaped in an opposed pyramid!
If there were considerable reabsorbtion, crystal faces would be deeply pitted, frosted, and diamonds would be off-colour, brown, black, etc. Illmenite would be rare and so on.
JK has made numerous assumptions, suggestions and allegations without a shread of proof. If I were HD and the BOD I would sue him for defamation.
