I think the manners on the thread got better when both sides of the fence agreed that Corel is a viable entity. It's no longer a question of whether they will 'survive'...they are a solid alternative to MS Word and have made various managerial moves needed to strengthen the co.

Continued cost control will have to be the way forward for the co.

But it used to be that both shorts and longs were convinced that the company's finances were very shaky, hence the both "offensive" and "defensive" nature of our comments. I think that in the LONG term the "true believers" (irrational though we were) will be vindicated. I still base a lot of my faith in the $$$$ value of the WordPerfect franchise...and all those old dormant loyal users.

I still think the cheapskates out there (and I am one) might be able to buy the stock on a one-day discount plan if the market has a significant hiccup one of these days. Then again the Dow could go to 9500...
