Re: It's good to hear that Intel is taking the time to prevent their end-user customers from being short changed. It speaks highly of customer support, thus building a brand loyalty.

That they are trying to sell two nearly identical pieces of silicon, one for $125 and the other for $400 has nothing to do with it, eh?

Speed-step doesn't do anything for Intel's .13 leakage problems, so the mobile chips aren't much better than the desktop chips. Buyers are figuring that out and saving themselves some money.
