MrB, that was an enjoyable post. Good of you to get statistics on
the number of threads. So I follow fewer than 1% of the active ones,
giving me ample opportunity to spend more time on SI. Or did you make those numbers up?

Have you ever considered writing a weekly column for a newspaper?
Not like Herb Greenberg's - but one with a few facts and the rest
whimsical observations. More serious than Dave Barry.
