I wouldn't want to be poor in US without health insurance

Being poor in the US means *having* health insurance. It's called Medicaid. What sucks in the US is being middle-class and not having insurance. The linkage of insurance to work is ridiculous and should be abolished.

You want consumer-friendly medical insurance? Stop making it a benefit and have people buy their own.
