First, even if one inferred that he was not squeaky clean, that is not the same as having a "drug problem". It takes persistent use to develop a problem. Second, times change. When Bush was a young man, cocaine had a reputation as a benign drug. It was not until later that people realized it was addictive and could induce paranoia. Additionally, the problem of gang violence over crack cocaine, the problem of people dying smoking one rock, and the theory of scaring young people straight supervened between his possible use and his governorship.....
