That article was not only a propaganda, Mikey was
blatantly lying - no Dell customers, especially
their main, corporate customers, would ever open
sealed Dell box which is always sold with unseparable
service (one year at least). Even to upgrade
to little more memory you are supposed to call
Dell service since the case is intruder-protected,
and in some cases will refuse to boot without
special BIOS intervention.

BTW, when I recently tried to upgrade my office
Optiplex GX110 to a brand new, Kingmax flip-chip
256MB stick, the system even did not post, so I
had to add a second old crappy 128 stick to make the
upgrade. Is not it a "fragile compatibility"
issue <ggg>?
