Nothing leaps out. Kuwait was hardly a defense of democracy

What put Bush Sr. on the side of the angels on the Kuwait issue was national boundaries. Do they stand for something, or not? Or is it OK to steal another country's territory, or steal the whole country?

The US actually hasn't been messing much with other places since the wall came down. It was always the communist expansionary vision that was alarming and motivated most of the interference. There is great similarity between that and islamism - they're both totalitarian.
