Rest assured, Mr. Zoltan, that Joe Q. Public isn't going to associate Enron with the Democrats or Clinton or Rubin. Ain't gonna happen. George W. -- not Bill or Hillary -- called Lay "Kenny Boy." George W. flew in Kenny Boy's plane on a number of occasions. We'll see how this shakes out politically, but I'm betting that the Enron-GOP-guilt-by-association-scandal is going to grow, not shrink, as more facts of corporate sleaze are revealed, especially all these side deals/anciliary mini-corporations whose sole purpose was to hide wealth so as to avoid paying taxes. (Hint: You won't read about the "real story" on Enron in newsmax.com.) I'm also betting this will be a major campaign issue eight months from now, and we shall see how the Democrats use it to their advantage. For more than a year I have been a voice crying in the SI wilderness re: corporate greed and how it affects the average middle-class working family. The Fat Cats at the top reel in millions of dollars a year while the rank-and-file workers and (gasp!) the shareholders get screwed. If there's any further evidence needed that GWB's tax-stimulus plan is bogus, all one has to do is look at Enron.
