LD's must have 5 waves in the subdivisions (5-3-5-3-5) unlike ED's which have 3 waves (3-3-3-3-3). The one thing in common is that they are allowed to overlap in the wave structures (low of 4 can cross high of 1). Not to pick on you, I don't like either count as there are spots in both that don't work eg. in the first the 1 of 3 is only 3 waves not 5, and in the second count, the low of 4 falls below the low of 2.

FWIW, I really don't have a good count on the Comp or NDX myself and I think it would be prudent to study the DOW and S&P as the structure is a little cleaner. However, even in these, I can still make out counts for either case.
