is this in the longer run filed under 'noise' or will it have a material impact on Qualcomm's future.

My guess is that it will be noise. However, a couple years ago we discussed here that in order for Gorilla Gaming to be most effective, management must capitalize on the opportunities that Gorilla Gaming inherently presents. To the extent that board members don't accordingly guide the company, their election to the board will certainly have a material impact on the company's future.

You presented a series of questions about the re-election of Savage to the board. The scary thought is that if you had presented the same questions about each of Enron's re-elected board members in recent years, you probably would have come up with the answer that those decisions would have only been noise.
