If you read the book, or even the link, you will see that some of the most incriminating documents are actually signed by JCS, FOIA materials, personal interviews, etc.
Intel services attempted to reclassify some of the materials that were automatically declassified, and prevent the publication of the book. However, after Watergate, that was made illegal, so the book made it into print.

That's a different question. This book, and the interests of disclosure isn't a trivial witch hunt, simply some sensational attempt to bring certain individuals to trials.
Nor is it a partisan political matter designed to blame exclusively one party or other, since both have been "on watch".
This is an attempt at disclosing the truth of how our government operates in the shadows, to shed some light on that, and let the chips fall where they may.
