Well, I always thought that Iran would shoot on sight any Taliban trying to use their country because of these irreconcilable differences. But I guess they hate America more, and any enemy of America is a friend of theirs. Now, I guess they are waking up and saying they may not have a country if they continue being our enemy.

I think this is more important than just Iran is helping crack down on the al qaeda. Common perception was that they would not allow any Taliban in their country. Now it comes out that not only have they been there, they have been there with the permission of the Iranian government. This means bin Laden could be there.
