there were those still justifying the initial storm I think the justifications are inversely proportional to completeness of the explanation. I am a few thousand miles further from the incident and cannot add any insite into the characters outside of the reports. I have more of a recollection of the jokes and insulted "crossfire" banter than of actual people, but I also heard some calm and reasoned interviews with the principals on NPR and PBS (plus the firery and completey erronious rhetoric of Charlton Heston speaking at a college).
