I agree they are exceptional events and reporting is lacking like in the Appalachia law school shooting where "armed" students actually caused the killer to surrender though news reports omitted the fact. Heston made his speech within a week of the re-hiring of Howard. His and Tony Snow's words were as fair as the initial reactions. It all balances out and btw Howard is openly gay, not an insignificant matter in the context of the issue.
