Hi KLP; Re chilis and the Aztecs punishing little boys. I want to say that it was Cortez who recorded the punishment in his beautifully but primitively illustrated little book on that indigenous culture. I remember an article from National Geographic, within the last 2 years, that photographically reproduced some of the pages, particularly the one that covered how they made their children behave.
