Performance of companies like Borland, Symantec and Sybase (PC products) is highly dependent on adaptation of Windows 95/NT by the corporate world. These companies have spend a lot of money in writing 32 bit products. Millions of copies of 95 have been sold but not many coprorations have truly migrated to the 32 bit environment. Migration to 32 bit environment is not inexpensive. It requires to upgrade the current applications to 32 bit in order to take advantage of the 32 bit. The fact that Windows 3.x applications will work under 95 does not appeal all the IS Managers to migrate to 95. Besides many IS managers have to budget for the migration ahead of time. NT as a client OS is still considered to be an expensive platform requiring high end hardware specs.

The trick is to sell 32 bit to IS Managers. I also believe many companies will budget on 32 bit migration for the year 97.
