I think most of the style has to do with sticking/not sticking the landing. You're supposed to come down telemark style. Actually that might be the hardest part of the whole thing, fly up god knows how many meters above the ground at top speed and have to land on two relatively skinny boards without crashing.

Don't you think the long- and triple-jumpers in the summer games ought to have to "stick" the landing as well, and not kick up so much saw dust?

By the way, did Tomasso mention prophylactic shock? Man, I remember that, in the back seat of the old man's Ford when the Trojan wasn't as watertight as it shoulda been. Carried it around in the wallet for too long, waiting to get lucky. But I don't know what that has to do with Isodope.
