"Please fill us in when he did this if you have time" You mean that Dubya claims he only got to know Lay after he became the Guv of Texas, despite the many opportunities he had to meet him, and work closely with him, before he was governor. Ok, you might argue he wasn't bright enough to remember things that happened more than a few minutes before he makes a particular statement, but are you sure you want to? Would it have been that big of a deal for him to say he met Lay when Dubya's father's library location was being chosen? What harm would that have done? Why did he lie about his? Beats me. Maybe the argument that he is really, really stupid is the right one. I don't happen to think that is the case, but maybe it is the correct one. Or maybe he just lies about everything... But hey, maybe you can come up with something better. Any ideas?
